Six Institutions in Argentina Receive Donations
“We are setting an example, a message of hope that a Much Better World is possible for all,” said Roberto Carr Rollitt, representative of the Central del Diezmo PRÓ-VIDA de Argentina (Center for the Tithe PRÓ-VIDA of Argentina), during the Donation Ceremony held on June 28, in the city of Bahía Blanca, province of Buenos Aires. On that occasion, donations were formalized to six charitable institutions.
Among the donated items were healthcare materials such as surgical instruments, orthopedic beds, and stretchers. An industrial kitchen and a series of other products were also donated — items which, according to the institutions’ representatives, will allow for improved and even expanded services.
Gabriela Vidal, representative of the institution Hogar Mamá y Yo, stated that actions like this one “renew strength and hope” so they can continue “helping others, transforming lives, and creating opportunities, work, and education” for people.
This has been one more opportunity for PRÓ-VIDA participants to set an example, inspired by the teaching of Dr. Celso that a world with greater opportunities for a more dignified life can indeed be built — through the solidary action of each person who reaches out and helps those most in need.
A conduct that brings about change in the environment and that stands as a leading banner of our Movement. It has been 45 years of history in social action since the first donation, held in Brazil by Dr. Celso Charuri through the General Center for the Tithe – PRÓ-VIDA (CGD-PV), which he founded. Since then, new centers for the Tithe have been established in different countries and, working independently, they have already made more than 13,000 donations to charitable institutions and built 16 vocational schools.
