In Brazil, Rural Vocational School Is Donated to Senar
The Dr. Celso Charuri Rural Vocational School was handed over in São Roque, Brazil, on August 22, 2026. The school was built and donated by the Central Geral do Dízimo PRÓ-VIDA (General Center for the Tithe – PRÓ-VIDA, CGD-PV) to be administered by the Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Rural (Senar).
This is the seventeenth school built and donated by the Centrais do Dízimo PRÓ-VIDA (Centers for the Tithe PRÓ-VIDA). According to Senar-SP president Tirso de Salles Meirelles, during the ceremony that formalized the donation, the school will offer completely free education focused on technology and sustainability, with the aim of training family farming workers and small producers to work in the agro-industrial chain. The school has the capacity to train up to 4,000 professionals per year.
The importance of a school like this, according to Meirelles, is also due to Brazil’s prominent position in global food security, which requires planning and strategic management by those involved in the sector. In this context, Brazilian rural producers become key players, since the food that reaches each family’s table comes from them.
“The demand for food, clean energy, and technologies in the field will require (…) more qualified people to produce with efficiency, sustainability, and science. It is precisely here that this School becomes strategic: we are not merely preparing young people for a job; we are preparing young people to be part of this global mission of providing food to the world, with cutting-edge technical qualifications,” Meirelles said, emphasizing that the school will serve students from across the country.
Human Development
Conceived by Dr. Celso Charuri, founder of PRÓ-VIDA, the project for the construction and donation of vocational schools aims to offer professional training and education, fully valuing the human being. The initiative is part of an even broader social action, created in 1979, which has already made more than 13,800 donations to charitable institutions in Brazil and countries in South America, North America, Europe, and Asia.
These actions are based on the principle that building a more just and supportive world involves helping those in need, an action that arises naturally in people who have expanded their consciousness, developed themselves, become better and, as a result, conduct themselves toward doing good.
“Dr. Celso showed us that if we truly want to build a better world, we must act on the cause, which is man himself. Because man is responsible for the world as it is. Therefore, a better man, with principles, noble values, and a greater capacity for action in the environment, will certainly build a better environment around himself, a better world,” explained Felipe Salgado, one of PRÓ-VIDA’s directors, speaking on behalf of the CGD-PV.
The donations are made through the work of participants in the Movement who understood the ideal of building a better world and continue Dr. Celso’s example: they founded other Centers for the Tithe in different cities in Brazil and also in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Italy, and Portugal.
The Centers for the Tithe PRÓ-VIDA operate through anonymous, optional, and voluntary bank deposits, whose funds are fully converted into goods and donated to philanthropic institutions. The work involved is voluntary and carried out by PRÓ-VIDA participants. The entire financial flow is subject to independent audits.

The School’s Structure
Designed according to the most modern standards of technology and sustainability, the Dr. Celso Charuri Rural Vocational School occupies 7,000 m² of built-up area on a site of more than 13,000 m².
The School will offer 24 completely free technical courses in the areas of artificial intelligence applied to precision agriculture, big data, biological inputs, agro-industry, forestry, drones for agriculture, and the operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery. In addition to the facilities, the CGD-PV also donated approximately 1,400 items of furniture and equipment.
Among the different projects planned by Senar is research on the technological and sustainable management of milk production, with potential for global application.
Given its proposed work, the School will help more young people envision new prospects for their future working in the field as they train to work with modern agricultural technologies.
